Where was the wooden leg? What, no talking parrot? No walking the plank? What about a hook? No eye-patch? All kidding aside, this book did contain whipping. I can't put my finger on why this book didn't do it for me. The sex scenes I guess were just kind of boring. It did nothing to arouse me. The punishment scenes were just okay. There wasn't anything really sexy about this story and the slave women weren't into submitting or really even understanding it. Sure the stuck up raven haired model (I can't even remember her name) got off on being abused, but it still wasn't very arousing to me.
Some of the grammar issues threw me which is not a good sign. I'm one of the most lax readers when it comes to grammar. For me to catch it, not good. The lack of eroticism in this book is what really disappointed me. For a book who's title is Slavery and Erotic Domination, it only delivered 1/2 of it for me. The slavery part was good. The erotic, not so much. The whole slaving running scene wasn't described well enough for me to visualize. Now that I think about it, this is the crux of the issue for me. Too much telling and not enough showing. The telling wasn't sexual enough for me so I couldn't get into it. I didn't give a rat's ass about the characters either.
For a quick read on sex slaves, this book will do it for you. If you are expecting to become wet and ready to jump your SO, this may not do it for you.
