Erotic sexual slavery with a bit a mystery is not what this is about. It's a mystery with sadistic torture and slavery. This is more of a crime novel than an erotic one. Bibi Wolfe Lynx and her good friend, Jean Groff are highly sought after female bodyguards. They are more than just brawn. They are both smart, highly efficient and effective. The dynamic duo are hired as protection detail for a rich family on a private luxury yacht. The interesting element about this crew is that it must be all female. This works perfectly for Bibi and Jean.
Mr. von Stuka writes a decent plot. Females are kidnapped and Bibi needs to determine who stole them, where the missing females are hidden and how to rescue them. The writing style is a little dry for me. I say this because I'm looking for a smexy erotic time. The sex in this story is just rape and torture. There is a little sexy time between Bibi and her lover. For F/f sex, it was rather dull too. It's missing something which I can't exactly explain. Since I'm an avid fan of f/f sex, I was surprised how unaroused I felt. In addition, the sex is few and far between. It's almost thrown in as an afterthought.
The BDSM parts to this story are close to non-existent. The main "BDSM" is from the crazy Swiss villain. His brand is pretty much all non-con fantasy torture. Normally, this kind of fantasy is erotically explosive for me and generates panty wetting fun. This one is described in a manner which is almost clinical. It is perhaps why it is a bit boring for me. From a sex rating, this book is a two.
The world building in the story is okay. The pace of this book is rather slow at the beginning. It stalls a little in the middle and then in the last third, it takes off. The resolution is very quick and almost a bit too pat. This leaves a reader also a bit dissatisfied. Overall, the book is grammatically fine. The technique is also fine. The erotic concept is stifled a bit in the emotionless telling. The actual crime part of the story is decent. It's the characters Bibi and Jean which makes the story bearable. This ends with a 2.5 star rating. Recommended for suspense readers who enjoy a bit of non-con slavery.
