What does a cop and an after-school coordinator for troubled youth have in common? Well, more than just their love of kinky sex? They have similar past pain with their mothers. I'm not a fan of stories where the characters' traumatized past leads them into BDSM. This story, fortunately has none of that involved.
Instead, this is a story of two people who have survived the pains they have experienced. They still have some reservations when it comes to a relationship, but as far as BDSM goes, they are completely open to each other. This short story contained just the right amount of conflict. It was believable and a bit sad. It made the story better for me.
The kinky D/s in here is light and smexy. This is how I see most kinky couples getting it on so it was arousing. I love a good strong Dom who also happens to be a cop. There is just something about a man in a uniform which kick up the heat factor. Mira is a bedroom submissive and it's a good portrayal. I liked it. Ms. Juliano is a new to me author and I'd read her again. Recommended for new to BDSM who like a realistic portrayal of how kinky couples can get it on.
