La Crimson Femme

This is a 2.5 star story. It is more than okay, but I can't say I completely enjoyed it. Jason is a small dicked male who enjoys submission to some degree. This story is about his erotic journey into submission with women. It starts out slow and explains how Jason first started to lose his self-confidence. He realizes his dick is just too small to satisfy a woman. Each experience only builds upon his inadequacy. This shows through in each interaction he has with women. His desperation makes him unappealing. It's true, a small dick isn't what most women want, but a man without confidence is definitely a complete turn off.

Jason somehow falls into Kristen's clutches and proceeds to be broken. This is where the story should get good. I'm a huge fan of humiliation and cuckolding. Instead, this story made me feel ill at ease. Whenever the story is portrayed as a romance but involves unenjoyable non-con, I don't get turned on. I feel pity for the character. Because Jason isn't truly enjoying or submitting to Kristen's teachings, I feel disgusted. It's hard to stomach a sweet and smart guy being ripped down to shreds just because of his small dick. For some, this may be a very enjoyable read. For me, it is not - personal preference.

The sex in this story isn't bad. It's along the lines of what is expected with a cuckold theme. Author Hathaway does a good job of showing how Jason feels. The character building is decent and the plot makes sense. It does drag a bit. My guess is the first part of the book is devoted to character building. The reader is treated to Jason's past which explains the why he is the way he is. Perhaps this is to make Jason more three dimensional rather than a shallow character. For me it fails because there is nothing about Jason which pulls me towards him. All I feel is disinterest. He's a bit pathetic. For a character to work better, it would be nice to see him with a flaw that he overcomes. If he "owned" his lack in size and got into sharing, it would have been hotter. Instead, his wallflower persona makes him forgettable.

The second half of the book is his erotic breaking at the hands of cruel Kristen. If there are really women out there like Kristen, I'd like to cunt punt them. What a be-yotch. She is neither sexy nor attractive. She's not helping Jason at all. This schooling she's giving him is neither healthy nor helpful. If this was a BDSM non-con fantasy story, then I'd be all over it and reveling in the depravity. Instead, with the realism, it comes across as emotional sadism and probably what vanilla folk think dominant females are really like. This is really what made the book a 2.5 star for me. The writing is good, the material just didn't work for me. This book is for those who really enjoy cuckolding themes.
